Our fifth annual World Without Skin Tears Day 2026, held on April 9, 2026, was a remarkable global success! Bringing together healthcare professionals, researchers, educators, caregivers, and advocates from around the world, we were all united by a shared commitment to preventing skin tears and improving outcomes for at-risk individuals.

This year’s event saw record-breaking engagement, with 1,825 registrants (an increase of 200 participants compared to last year!) and 845 live attendees joining from across multiple continents. The strong turnout highlights the growing global awareness and importance of skin tear prevention and management across all care settings.

A highlight of this year’s event was the use of live translation powered by Wordly, which enabled participation in 19 different languages including English, French, Turkish, Spanish, Cantonese, Catalan, Ukrainian, and more! Through translated audio, subtitles, and captions, this feature made the event more accessible and inclusive than ever before.

Another key highlight was the live Q&A session which sparked tons of meaningful discussion.
