Nicole is a Nurse Practitioner specialising in wound management at the Specialist Wound Centre within the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD). She delivers expert care across the community nursing sector in the northern region. Nicole has also served as a Nurse Practitioner with the Aged Care Response Team on the Central Coast, where she played a key role in preventing unnecessary hospital admissions for residents of aged care facilities.
She has contributed extensively to the NSW committee for Wounds Australia over many years and currently holds a branch leadership position. In addition, Nicole is the President of the Hunter Wound Interest Group, where she is committed to providing high-quality, accessible education for healthcare professionals.
Her clinical interests focus on chronic and complex wounds, alongside optimising acute wound management and effective management of skin tears to prevent them becoming chronic wounds. She takes pride in providing mentoring to staff and students to build capacity within the healthcare workforce. Nicole is a strong advocate for patient-centred care and is dedicated to improving the journey and outcomes of individuals living with wounds. Nicole actively contributes in a volunteer capacity to education and advocacy initiatives focused on the prevention and management of skin tears, supporting improved awareness and best practice across healthcare settings.
