Chunhong Yu

Chunhong Yu is a PhD Candidate in Nursing at Murdoch University, Australia, with extensive clinical, leadership, education and research experience in wound care. She holds a Master’s degree in Nursing and has more than 20 years of nursing experience, with a strong professional focus on burns, chronic wounds and skin integrity.

In China, Chunhong worked extensively in burn and wound care and previously served as Nurse Manager of the Burns and Chronic Wound Repair Unit at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University. She has also completed advanced wound management training with a curriculum approved by the European Wound Management Association (EWMA) Education Committee.

Currently, Chunhong is involved in wound care education within the nursing program at Murdoch University. Her professional interests include evidence-based wound care, skin integrity, pressure injury prevention and management, skin tears, and patient and family engagement.

Her professional experience across China and Australia has strengthened her interest in advancing wound and skin care education, evidence-based practice and international professional collaboration.
