Asresash Admassie

My name is Asresash Admassie, I am a regional wound care nurse in the greater Austin Region, Texas. I have been a nurse for 12 years. My experience includes neuro medical surgical unit and in patient/outpatient wound and ostomy care. I also had a chance to lead a team and serve as a clinical manager for an independently physician owned wound and hyperbaric clinic. I like attending national wound care conferences, I found these conferences to be a great opportunity to learn new and upcoming wound care products/technology and a great way to network. I have obtained a national certificate in wound and ostomy. Also certified in wound debridement. I am a group daisy award winner and 2024 Nursing Excellence nominee. I graduated my MSN in nursing education in 2022 from UTA. Education is my passion because I believe teaching is not always one way and educators are life time learners. I have participated in several evidence-based projects that decreases hospital acquired pressure injurie and improve patient outcomes. I am married to my wonderful husband and blessed with three amazing kids. My favorite thing to do outside of work is spending quality time with my family and friends!
